Four awarded leadership roles at A Gathering Place for Tulsa
At the 1991 Academy Awards, Steve Terry was among the executive chefs who helped prepare a seven-course dinner for about 2,700 people.
He remembers one meal in particular.
“Billy Crystal was hosting it,” Terry said. “He was sick and needed chicken noodle soup. I ended up making him chicken noodle soup. That was the highlight of my piece of it.”
He is part of a four-member leadership team announced Friday by A Gathering Place for Tulsa, the $350 million park being built along the Arkansas River.
Joining Terry, senior culinary officer, will be senior programming officer Kirsten Hein, senior operations officer Josh Henderson and senior marketing officer Amanda Murphy. They were chosen from 500-600 applicants to work with Park Director Tony Moore to run the daily operations and programming of the park.
